Biography
As founder of the firm, Brent Threlkeld has been practicing law for over 30 years. He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana State University and his J.D. from Indiana University, Indianapolis.
In addition to state court admissions, other court admissions include the U.S. District Court for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit, U.S. Court of Military Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Prior to going into private practice, Brent served as Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corp as Captain and as a Military Judge. He also serves as a Marion County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney from 1979 to 1982.
Brent has been honored by Law & Politics Magazine by being designated as an Indiana Super Lawyer every year since inception in 2004. He has been recognized by The Indiana Jury Verdict Reporter as one of “The Most Prolific Trial Attorneys” for the years 2000-2001 (11th), 2002 (8th), 2003 (Honorable Mention) and 2004 (1st). The Indianapolis Bar Association has designated him a Distinguished Fellow in 2005. He was named the Defense Lawyer of the Year by the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana.
As a result of his hard work and outstanding client service, Brent has received the AV peer review rating.
He has provided presentation on Litigating and Understanding the Medical Injury (ICLEF, 1995); Trying the Automobile Injury Case in Indiana (NBI, 1999), Masters in Trial (ABOTA, 1999) and Techniques and Outlines for Cross Examination of the Chiropractic Physician (DTCI, 2003).
Membership
Brent is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta fraternity, Indianapolis Bar Association serving on the Member Litigation Section, the Indiana State Bar Association, Defense Research Institute. He is currently the President of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel.
